Weekly photo challenge: purple

I’ll try and take the WordPress One Post a Week challenge. And maybe the weekly photo challenge will get me back into taking photos again.
For this week’s challenge a flower, because I couldn’t find a purple dog this week. Such a tropical colour on a New Zealand South Island tramp was a suprise.

and also, dogs 
We had our local Sandgate festival at the weekend, and there was a dog groomer there, offering her wares. They included a full body dye (pink or purple included) or nails painted (4 paws for $20). Needless to say, Rusty and Wally didn’t take up the offer.
Oh no, Marion, really? Even in Sandgate? Rusty and Wally have the best colour, they don’t need a dye. I was listening to a BBC documentary about the massive pet dog industry in Japan: grooming, spas, clothes, treats. I just don’t understand that kind of “pampering” and turning dogs into toys for us at all.
